After watching the movie ‘The Book of Eli’ I thought it would be appropriate to talk about sharing and the joys of spending time with people just because you want to not because you have to.
In this movie the main character Eli was asked about what it was like to live in the old world. He described the old world as a place that was abundant and everyone had more than they need, they didn’t realize how lucky they were. Then he sat down and asked the woman to join him and share a meal together.
I know all too well that we all have things going on in our mind that doesn’t always allow us to realize what’s really important for our well being. To share with people a smile, a touch, a kind word or even a conversation is the most beautiful gift you can share with people.
We often dismiss these simple pleasures of life, I suggest if you are looking to reconnect with this simple yet satisfying exchange, the chances are you have forgotten the simplicity of your natural being. I suggest to go for a walk in nature, go to the river, smell the flowers, sit on the grass or lay down in your back yard and watch the birds go about their daily dance.
Connect with the simplicity of nature and reconnect with your extraordinary nature. To share yourself is the most beautiful thing possible, to share your time with another person is AMAZING.
hi Andrew!, I`m back and having a bit of a hard time adjusting but your words just helped--to just slow down and enjoy life`s simplicities.......
sometimes our minds just race with the sheer overload of info...and sometimes there are places where it`s easier to realize how simple and rich life is all on its on....but I guess we all need the
ability to have a special place to go no matter where we are, that allows us peace...
