What's cooking?

Food is really an important part of a holistic life style and I am really loving the raw food epidemic sweeping the globe. I have met many different types of people ranging from vegetarian, raw, fruit and breath arians and they have all had some interesting information to give me.

I have come to naturally evolve to my own eating habits. I tend to live on mostly vegetable, fruit and occasionally fish. I feel Qi Gong and meditation has been especially great in helping me become sensitive to whether this food is alive. Although I worked for a detox center, I don’t believe in dieting or going on a fast. I feel one should just evolve naturally their habits and accept that they can only change from education and sensitivity to what they feel like eating.

The most important thing for me is how do I feel when I am eating, how does it smell, taste, feel, when it goes into my stomach and meditation has helped me to be able to internalize my feelings. I have become very sensitive to form these exercises. I am now really becoming aware each day more and more and I am not really needing as much food as I had once previously thought.

If I have eaten some thing really heavy then my whole body lets me know and if it's not the right combinations of food this also effects how my body functions and now I must be aware of exactly what I put into my mouth.

As long as I can keep an awareness of how I am breathing, sitting, standing and walking my body can naturally conserve energy from my movements and all together it’s an interesting experiment to see just how much food we really need. I have met some extraordinary people who are living on very little and there have been many stories from my friends who have met people living beyond 300 years.

Wow Andrew, I really admire you and others who eat this way. But this seems really hard for me to even think about or want right now. I am still very very attached to food. But what I can envision and want to strive for right now is just eating vegetables and fruits for maybe one day a week and quietly going into my body to be still. About 4 years ago I broke my addiction to alcohol, about 2 years ago I cut my ties to cigarettes and just in the past few months I broke my addiction to coffee, all things that I could never have previously imagined, I will admit. I guess time will have to tell.

    Hey Vicki

Thanks for sharing - that's amazing. Yes the beautiful thing about evolution is it takes the relevant course of the individual. When you are ready to make a shift then the time is right. Wow you have come along way, I am impressed.

I am curious do you have a meditation or energetic practice? Are you registered with my news letter? I have just started a 35 Day Qi Gong Game and I sent every one a letter.

Trust in your self I believe no that you have eliminated these intoxicants the natural stages now will be breathing and food awareness, well breathing is my specialty - I guess that's why you are tuned into my channel.

Thats inspiring thanks again for sharing.

    Andrew.

Andrew, thank you! I thought I had signed up for the newsletter; I will check again. I am going home to Canada for a month`s visit in a few weeks, will get my own computer at that time and then have decided I would like to do the five-week mentoring with you and do the 35 Day Gi Gong game. I am really exited about it!
