Time to wake up

The Magic hour of dawn and dusk hold the key to developing our own connection with our well being and with the universal intelligence that surrounds us.

People often say that your whole day’s activity can be experienced as meditation or you are already enlightened – what I am trying to translate to you is the formulas to re-awaken you to this natural heightened awareness.

Getting out of bed is always challenging for me but I have a very deep practice that revolves around the sun and in particular I have spent many days researching into books to find out why is the sunrise and sunset so special.

Sunrise is amazing, all the birds feel it and for no reason other than joy they start to singing for the new day is begun. When you are really sincere about developing a higher spiritual practice then this time is truly amazing.

Sunset is also the other one, I have watched many movies and they describe these times in many different ways, Magic Hour, Dragon Hour, it is the time of mystery, when we are somewhere between worlds, it's not dark and it's not light, for a moment we can see the dance of duality, we can have a glimpse of the another dimension.

I cannot describe the science behind this, but in the Yogic language they would say that sunrise is a potent time to awaken you kundalini, in Qi Gong they would refer this to Jing – sexual essence. The clarity I have if I meditate before the sunrise is extraordinary, I have a particular meditation called the E-Navigator and it looks at the four cardinal directions and this is a whole other trip altogether. This is the real reason they built the temples of Angkor Watt to remind us that in order to understand ourselves we must first understand the four quadrants of the mind.

Sunset is the other gold nugget, after all your day’s activities it’s a great time to bring all the energy back and a great time to raise the spirit, a great time to open the Dragon Gate or the 6th Chakra. Again you don’t have to have any knowledge about chakras, meridians all you need to do is sit comfortably and get in touch with your breathing.

After some time of sitting the brain wave activity will change; you will naturally go into a state of no mind and eventually become like when the boat waits on the shore waiting for the waves come in. You will float, when your energy builds up over a consistent time of practice you will rise up into the higher levels of awareness, to the pineal gland which is the Gate Way to the Universal Intelligence or the Universal Spirit.

I spend most of my time talking to people about these simple understanding, but if you can put them into your life without your small child (ego) getting in the way then you will start to directly experience what everyone is talking about.

    In Tao Practice (Tao Yoga),
we have 4 time periods we look at in our practice.
This revolves around the 'Yang Energy' Cycle.
Cultivation of Yang Energy is the primary focus for the Inner Alchemy Traditions of Tao.
The first watch we begin to work with is:
    11:00pm - 1:00AM
(Yang Energy is just beginning to arise from the East)
    The second watch is 5:00AM - 7:00AM.
    The third watch is 11:00AM - 1:00PM.
    The fourth watch is 5:00PM - 7:00PM.
There is a very exact science involved with cultivation of these cycles.
This is the first cycle to understand and gain harmony with ->
The cycle contained in a day; which we may begin to see is related to the patterns of cycle of the sun.
The second cycle to understand and gain harmony with is the cycle of the moon phases that takes place in one month.
(There are 4 important lunar stages that we specifically practice with.)
The third cycle to gain understanding and harmony with is the cycle of a year -->
their are 4 main energetic points during the expression of the 4 seasons that we unify with.
The science goes even deeper that this, and has 12 year cycles we harmonize with, and so on....
The Taoists were amazing in their understanding of the energetic cycles that take place within, and also the cycles that express themselves 'outside', and how to Unify these 'inside' and 'outside' cycles into a complete 'One'...
