Let's go somewhere

I am noticing a dramatic shift of my energy levels since arriving to Bangkok. I am very challenged by this environment and for me as a teacher I must passionately live the life I am encouraging others to explore and I always continue my Well Being Program, where ever I am in the world. Here are a few tips on taking your Wellness practice with you as you travel.

For me, I have been travelling from South East Asia and Australia very often for the last 10 years and when I travel it’s really important to take care of myself. I think it’s important to be aware of your surrounding, but at the same time one has to the best with what one has.

I find that my mind will give me 100 reasons why I should get lazy while I am moving to a new apartment somewhere in the world. The air isn’t clean, you don’t have the park you like, it's too hot… etc. Travelling to me is like when you take a plant from somewhere and plant it in another place, you will notice it with being a bit vulnerable for the first 2 days. The body is similar, when you are uprooted you also need to take care of yourself, have lots of water and take it slow.

I usually have all my meditations on my i-pod while I am travelling and I listen to them and even when I am on the train, I never miss my practice for one day. I find it really exciting when you arrive to a new place; I make a space for my Tao Yoga and set out a comfortable mat to sit on for meditation, and for my Brain Wave Entrainment Meditations I lay down in my bed. Another thing I always do for the first 3 days arriving somewhere new, I have massage every day.

Qi Gong is usually performed in a park or somewhere out side in the morning or evenings. Whether you are going on holidays or just going camping what I would suggest is to power down a little, don’t go for the full power forms, but rather just go for the simple grounding meditation practices that will keep you in shape, mentally, emotionally and physically.

Hi Andrew, I love your blog:D I've been thinking of getting a Brain Wave Entrainment cd but I'm not sure which one to go for and they're quite pricey. Do you have any recommendations?

    Hi Tracy

    Thanks fro your kind words.

I will send a link to my favorite you-tube channel to a series of Solfeggio Harmonics that are simply stunning. I have many brainwave entrainment sessions on file, I can send you my favorite if you like.

I love this technology - now I am listening to a Open the Heart Series - also I am working on putting one together my self with a Qi Gong - now we are using Solfeggio harmonics with our latest 5 Elemental Qi Gong Product on i-phone...exciting :-D

    Take care.

    Andrew.
