The most important thing about all these forms of Meditation are that they are not a form to control but rather a form to get you in touch with your natural witness.
Your natural witness is your higher universal mind, we are all connected on some level and there is One Universal Mind that we are all directly or a part of. Most people are not aware of this universal conscious mind because their day to day activities are reducing their ability to get in touch with their natural witness.
When you take time to play with meditation, you start to become aware of a few beautiful things. First you might notice how difficult it is to sit without having pain, and then after you play with Yoga or Qi Gong, you might start to realize that when you sit there are other feelings of discomfort within the emotional bodies, and then if you can unlock these gates then you might come to see the nature of your own mind.
After some time of practice one can remove oneself with the identification of the body and mind and once again return back to the One Universal Mind. This universal intelligence is the vast ocean of knowledge that we can swim in at any time, but detailed and diligent practice is required to be able to get into this ocean. Most people need a huge dramatic catastrophe before they ever start to enquire into this magical realm, let's hope earth's natural disasters are enough to shake people from their comas of unconsciousness and reclaim their powerful co-creative consciousness.
