Meditation has been described as the exercise of singular, mindful attention in a relaxed but focused and alert way. To be able to experience being in a meditative state or zone is a very interesting space to be in. It's almost like you feel some where in between worlds, the space between spaces, some vortex opens up and past ~ present ~ future can be explored.
If you can manage the knack of getting into the zone then life and your reality can start to take a dramatic shift. The best way to experience getting into a deep meditative state is the theta brain wave state. This state cane best be experienced just after waking and before sleeping, at this time we are able to get in touch with the zone.
In the zone you are totally capable of performing every day tasks very beautifully. When you can slip into this mind state easily then everything naturally becomes meditation, scrubbing pots, drinking tea, drawing, talking with friends, and walking the dog.
